Country customers could order a complete range of items from catalogues published in local newspapers.
How-to-measure guides were provided for sizes and colour ... 'to secure satisfaction'. Garments were made upstairs at Dimmeys. Teams of seamstresses on banks of sewing machines filled the orders.
